Recent exciting advances, such as the human genome sequence or research into stem cells, have intrigued us all with their promise of new ways to treat complex diseases. Over the next decade, we’ll start to see the impact of these developments in our daily lives, but none of this would be possible without human biology. When you study for this degree  you’ll focus on the aspects of biology which are most relevant to our own species; genetics, physiology, cell biology, evolution and development, for example. It’s a flexible programme that gives you a broad understanding of biological principles, but also lets you pursue your own interests and helps you to fulfill your career ambitions.
